Standardization of Bullet-Resistant Measures

Standards have been drawn up for bullet resistance. As a basis, we use the European standards EN 1522 and EN 1603. However, a standardized product says nothing about the quality of your total resistance. We ensure that all measures are balanced and coherent with each other, so that you can always offer the resistance and delay that are important for your organization. Resistance Class of Bullet-Resistant Materials
A number of factors are important for the definition of resistance classes; think of the type of ammunition, the weapon, the rate of fire, the number of shots and the distance from which the shots are fired. The EN 1522-1523 describes, among other things, the classes FB1-FB7. According to the standard, these resistance classes are tested with a mechanical firing mechanism, temperature measurement, shooting in a triangle with a certain impact distance and a speedometer. These tests are performed on bullet-resistant windows, doors, facade parts and walls. Attention is also paid to the connection of the various elements.
In situations where other weapons and/or ammunition such as AK47 or sniper rifles .50 inch (12.7mm) are to be expected, we have appropriate solutions to ensure sufficient resistance. Depending on your risk profile, we will work with you to choose the resistance class that your situation requires and that matches your ambition.
