The contract for the implementation and management of IPSecurityCenter has been signed by René Oudejans (r), CFO Gasunie and Peter de Jong, CFO Mactwin.
Gasunie has commissioned Mactwin for the design, implementation, and management of a Physical Security Information Management (PSIM) solution for the control and monitoring of security systems at all its secured locations in the Netherlands; this is to replace the existing in-house developed system. With IPSecurityCenter, CNL’s PSIM software, Gasunie manages its security risks and optimizes its security. From 2018, IPSecurityCenter will be implemented in Gasunie’s various security lodges and two control rooms.
The integration and management platform IPSecurityCenter converts information from all of Gasunie’s security and safety systems into visual intelligence in the form of a unified situational overview (Common Operational Picture). This will significantly improve the situational awareness of the operators. The PSIM guides operators step-by-step through standard procedures and instructions, ensuring that incidents, threats, and crisis situations are uniformly and quickly brought under control after immediate detection. All events, activities, and actions are logged, allowing Gasunie to demonstrate compliance with laws and regulations, procedures, and company guidelines, or to conduct audits afterwards.
The user-friendly interface of IPSecurityCenter, which allows operators to uniformly control the underlying systems, is highly valued by Gasunie. As is the fact that it is an open platform and therefore can be connected to virtually all security systems. IPSecurityCenter works with and retrieves information from various other systems, such as HRM and facility management systems, and geo-information systems. This was also an important selection criterion for Gasunie.
Ad Weterings, Senior ICT Purchaser at Gasunie: “Throughout the tender process, Mactwin convincingly demonstrated that IPSecurityCenter is the best solution for us and that Mactwin – as a professional system integrator – is the right partner for this extensive project. We look forward to the collaboration.”
