Defining and Applying Geofences in Policies

This guide explains how to define a radius geofence and subsequently apply it within a policy.

Defining a Geofence Radius

  1. From the Main Screen, select the Settings option > GEOGRAPHY, and then Geofence.

  1. In the Geofence Settings table, click “Edit” for the geofence you wish to modify.

  1. In the Basic Data tab, select the Circle option and set the radius in meters or kilometers.
  2. Select the checkbox Tag this geofence as “policy” for use in policies.
  3. Click Save.

Applying the Geofence in a Policy

  1. From the Main Screen, select the Settings option > USERS, and then Policies. Open the policy you wish to edit.
  2. Select the Geofence tab.
  3. In the Geofence dropdown, select the geofence to be applied to this policy.
  4. If necessary, configure the actions that occur when a user enters and exits this policy by checking the required boxes under On Entry and On Exit.

Note: If you wish to edit the geofence, select the Geofence Settings option. You will then be prompted to save the changes to the policy before it is closed and the Geofence Settings page is opened.

  1. Click Save.
