Dirkzwager: from keyring to smart access control tags<\/h2>\n

It goes without saying that the security of the offices of Dirkzwager advocaten & notarissen is in good shape.
\nAll important entrances, such as those to the buildings, parking facilities and the archive and vault rooms, are equipped with modern intrusion and access control systems.
\nRecently, Mactwin replaced Dirkzwager’s old systems due to obsolescence.
\nAs a result, security is better than ever and a lot more user-friendly. <\/strong> Until the end of last year, Dirkzwager’s employees used ordinary keys to open doors and a remote control to operate the barriers of the parking lots.
\n“The more access rights you had, the thicker the bunch of keys.”
\nThese are the words of Genoveva Hoppenreijs, Head of Facility Services at Dirkzwager.
\n“With the arrival of the new intrusion and access control system, all employees have had to hand in their keys and they have been given an access tag<\/a> instead.
\nThis allows them to operate not only the barriers of the parking lots and gain access to the office and certain areas in the offices, but also the burglar alarm system<\/a>
\nswitch on or off (partially or completely), activate print jobs via the Follow Me printing system and make use of lunch.” The latter functionality was added later at Dirkzwager’s request. “Before employees now use our lunch facility, they offer their tag to the reader in the lunch room. In this way, we register when employees join us for lunch and we can pass on the tax costs to them. For some of our employees, the transition from the (large) bunch of keys to one tag took some getting used to. Everything is done with the little tag now.” “Fortunately, we now regularly hear how practical people find this. I therefore do not rule out that we will further expand the system in the future, for example with PC security. Instead of entering your password, log in with your tag. That is very practical, especially now that more and more colleagues at Dirkzwager are also working flexibly.”<\/p>\n

Great ease of use<\/h3>\n

The fact that keys have been replaced by a multi-function access tag is certainly not the only advantage of the new systems.
\nIn the new situation, both systems are linked to each other.
\nThis means, among other things, that the systems, including the camera system in the other Arnhem building, can be centrally operated and managed.
\nFrom one unified application.
\nAccess rights can also be assigned or changed centrally.
\nGenoveva Hoppenreijs: “Mactwin also paid a lot of attention to the control panels. We wanted these panels to match the interior and appearance of our offices as well as possible.”
\nIn addition, the alarm system had to be as simple as possible to arm and disarm. “We want to prevent operating errors and thus unwanted alarms as much as possible. Every day, there are colleagues in our offices who work longer in the evenings. Colleagues are also regularly present at the office on weekends. Every employee should therefore be able to switch on and off as easily as possible. Mactwin has solved this well by making a separate control of the alarm system especially for us, concealed in our interior, based on two simple push buttons.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Partnership<\/h3>\n

Although the three offices worked satisfactorily with different security installers until recently, Dirkzwager awarded the contract for the replacement of the installations entirely to one party.
\nThe choice fell on Mactwin.
